Today at Heart 2 Heart Challenges they are doing a sketch challenge. I do love a good sketch challenge, so I was excited to make this card today.
Here are the two options for the sketch:
You can make it a circle shaped card like this.....
Or...You can put the circle on a standard card like this:
I decided to do the second version. I used a standard card base made with White Daisy Cardstock. Then I cut out a circle out of scratch paper to make a mask, and placed it on my cardbase. I used sponges, Blush Ink and Hollyhock Ink to sponge around the circle. Removed the mask and it left a perfect white circle on my card base. Here is the card:I used the beautiful Sophia paper pack (X7131B) from the new Spring/Summer Idea Book. I just love those colors. I added some black cardstock too. The stamp sets are C1397 Smiles for the funky little flower and flourishes and D1475 Card Chatter - Birthday for the sentiment. I added three black pearls from the Licorice Opaques embellishments (Z1335). I cut out the flower and colored it in using Blush and Hollyhock Markers. For the center of the flower I just stamped the flower again using Goldrush Ink and then added the pink dots with my Hollyhock Marker. Then I cut it out and glued it right on top of the center. I'm thinking about adding a little liquid glass to the center to make it shiney too.
Be sure to post your artwork, I just love to see what everyone comes up with. If you want any or all of these products you can order them on my website http://debidavis.myctmh.com/.
Have a great day!
