Lucky Challenge

This week on Heart 2 Heart Challenges they are having us share our Good Luck with all.  The challenge is to create a project for someone that shows them how lucky you are to have them in your life.  Plus, there is a step up challenge: use the color green!

I was also able to incorporate the Mojo Monday Sketch #232 for this week in my card as well.

So here is wishing everyone a Lucky Day!

I dug deep in my stash to find all kinds of stuff that has been retired, but I need to use it too.  Here are the products that I used on my card:
Paper pack is the new CTMH Footloose paper pack X7151B (it's not just for summer fun and beach pictures).  CTMH stamp sets are:  C1008 (retired) Top O' The Morning set for the cute guy.  C1236 (retired) Solo "L" for the word Lucky.  D1335 (retired) Intrinsic Backgrounds for the X pattern on the frame.  D1482 Love Life for the pattern stamped on the Desert Sand paper.  Love that set.  Ink Colors are New England Ivy, Desert Sand, Sweet Leaf, Creme Brulee, and Sunset for the hair color.  I added some retired New England Ivy Ribbon.  I also used my Cricut and the CTMH AP cartridge to cut out the funky square shape cut at 2 3/4", matching frame cut at 2 3/4" and the cute little tag with the shamrock cut at 1 1/4".

Here is the picture of the Mojo Monday Sketch:

Good Luck and be sure to play along with the challenges, I would love to see your creations!

Heart 2 Heart Weekly Challenge

This week's challenge is to create a non-rectangular or square card. Think shapeClick Here to see what the Design Team has created this week.

This week I'm sharing with you one of the projects that my stamp clubs will be doing.  What is funny is that I just finished it last night before I even knew what the challenge was.  So this works out perfect!

I also need to thank Canadian Independent Consultant Jan Moxey for posting her cute snowman, she is my inspiration.  Check out her blog at http://scrapandstamp4ever.blogspot.com/

I just used White Daisy Cardstock.  Cut the base into a circle card using my Small Coluzzle template on the largest circle.  Then I cut three circles using the Coluzzle template and a circle punch.  I inked the edges using our new Sky ink pad.  Stamped the face and arms of the snowman from our All Decked Out D1308 stamp set.  Stamped the hat from the same stamp set on a piece of scrap white cardstock and cut out.  Colored in all the images with our watercolor pencils.  Attached the biggest circle directily to the card base and used 3-D foam tape to add the next two circles on top.  Used a glue dot to add a piece of ribbon for the scarf.  Mini sparkles from the blue sparkles for the eyes and finally some Glitz Glitter Gel on the hat trim.  Oh, I forgot to take a picture of the inside.  It says "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow".

Embossing Challenge at Heart 2 Heart

This weeks challenge is Embossing.  You can use either dry embossing or wet embossing or a combination of both if you choose.

I decided to use wet embossing.  I stamped the Tree image from October's stamp of the month "Share the Magic" set using versamark ink, then I sprinkled embossing powder (I believe it is called Stardust.  I have had it so long I no longer have the tag for it.) over the top and heated it with my heat gun.  I took a sponge and some Juniper ink and sponged it all over the tree until it started to pop.  Then I added some Blush ink around the edges using a sponge.
The paper pack I used is last year's Holiday paper called "Jingle".  I added a bit of white organza ribbon and a couple of knotted ties and there you have it.  Oh, don't forget the Clear Sparkle at the top of the tree.
It's a simple card but cute and sparkly.

Heart 2 Heart Weekly Challenge

You have got to be kidding me.  I haven't posted on my blog since August 30th?  Yep, that's just about right.  I have been so busying it has been ridiculous!  I feel that I'm ready to get back in the swing of things now though.  Whew!

Anyway, on to this weeks Heart 2 Heart Challenge.  It is a sketch challenge (my favorite challenge).  Here is the sketch:
Check out what the design team has come up with by clicking here.  Remember to post your work too so I can see what you have come up with too.
I will come back in a jiffy to post my creation here:
Okay, here is my card.  I made it the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card because that is the size envelopes that I have.  I used the new Mistletoe paper pack X7130B, the WOTG stamp set that is called All the Best, Cranberry Brads and Glitz Stardust glitter glue Z1313.  I also used cranberry and Cocoa ink.
