Hi Stampers
This month in my workshops and clubs we will be making 4 Christmas cards.  If you are interested in learning more about how you can make these, just email me at debistampnfun@hotmail.com
Cards created by Debi Davis www.stampnfun.blogspot.com

The first card on the top left is made using the new Sparkle and Shine paper pack from the Holiday gift guide.  The cute snowman is from Flakey Friends stamp set and the sentiment is from the Frosted Cardmaking Workshop on the go set.
The second card on the top right is made using just Cranberry and Lagoon cardstock.  The stamp set is Wintery Wishes Hostess rewards set.  The cute hexagons are the irrisistables that you can color to make whatever project you need.  The white splatters on the Cranberry cardstock is Create a Shade Pearl paint applied with the texture tool.
The third card on the bottom left is made using the Frosted paper pack and the October stamp of the month Scandinavian Christmas.  The ornament shape is cut out using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
The fourth card on the bottom right is also made with the Frosted paper and the stamp set is from the Frosted Cardmaking workshop on the go set.
Thanks and hope to see you at class!

September Clubs and Workshops Projects

Hi Stampers
Here are pictures of what we are making in my clubs and workshops for September.

We are using Laughing Lola paper pack and treat cups to make the first Halloween card.  I also used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge for the flip card and the spider on the inside.

We are also making this All Occasion card using the Laughing Lola paper.

August Stamp Club and Workshop Projects

Hi Stampers
Here is a sample of what we will be making this month in my Stamp Clubs and Workshops.  We will be using the August stamp of the month: A chocolate Affair stamp set and the new Baby Cakes paper pack.  I just love those polka-dots and the colors match M&M candies perfectly, so we will be filling our candy shaped boxes with M&M's.

The first is a standard sized card.  I used the card design #24 (pg 44) from the CTMH Make it From Your Heart Volume 2 pattern book.  I used the Baby Cakes paper pack, Brown Glitter paper, and Color-ready seam binding Ribbon.  See the description below on the candy box to see how I made the chocolate look glossy.

I decorated the inside also:

We will also be making the cute candy shaped box.  I used the Artiste Cricut cartridge to cut out the box (size 6")  Then I punched out two size scallop circles using my Marvy Punches (but you could also cut these out with the cricut).  I really liked the cute cupcake image so I wanted to use that.  I stamped in in Chocolate ink on Colonial white cardstock, then stamped it in Sunset ink on a scrap piece of cardstock, then to give it that glossy look I stamped over the chocolate ink using clear Versamark ink then added clear embossing powder and used the heat gun to melt.  I used scissors to cut out the sunset cupcake paper cup part and glued it on top of the cupcake.  I added a clear sparkle to the cherry on top.  For the flag I just hand cut the "V" shape at the end and bent it in a wavy pattern.

May Projects for workshops and clubs

Hi Stampers
Here are the projects that we will be making this month at my workshops and clubs.
The first one is a Father's Day card using the May stamp of the month Pinwheels.  The Pinwheel actually spins when you pull the string.

The second project is a goodie bag for "Dad's Stache"  using the large paper pouches.

The paper that I used for these is from the Dakota Paper pack with the wood grain on one side and the houndstooth on the other.  I also used a little of the Honey colored pattern paper from Tommy for the yellow flag.
Stamp set used are the may Stamp of the Month Pinwheels and the Perfect fit - Dad set. for the stache and the world's greatest dad.  The polka dot in slate is the Washi Tape, so fun to use.

Here is a little video showing the pinwheel spinning when you pull the string.

CAS - Cozy Cat Card

Hi Stampers
This morning on the Heart 2 Heart Blog are looking for CAS cards.  That stands for Clean and Simple design cards.  Usually there will be a large area of white or solid cardbase showing in these cards.  I have the perfect card to share with you.  It is one that we made at some of my classes this month as a "Bonus" card, if we had time to complete it.
Here is my card:

I used the adorable Cozy Cat stamp set (A1140 $6.95) she is so cute I couldn't resist.  I used the "fussy cutting" technique to cut out the cat from buttercup cardstock and the pillow from Chatilly paper and the muzzle from white cardstock.  The sentiment stamp if from Just a Number stamp set (D1514 $17.95) Age is just a number... yours will remain Unlisted.  Happy Birthday!  Here is a close up of the cat.

February Workshop Cards

Hi Stampers
Here are the two cards that we will be completing this month at my clubs and workshops.
The first card is a "Center Step Card" decorated for Easter.

I used the new stamp "Easter Wishes" from the new Spring/Summer idea book for the adorable chicks.  The paper we are using this month is Chantilly also from the new idea book.  I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the fancy square and the pink tag.  Just my luck Heart 2 Heart Challenge this week is Tag Your It.  So I will be adding this card to that blog.  Go check out other cute tag ideas HERE.  I found the center step directions by on google.  There are a lot of templates out there for this type of card.  The one I used is http://www.th-ink-ingofyou.blogspot.com

The second card we will be making is this "Chalkboard" style card using the February Stamp of the Month Home Sweet Home.

Once again we are using the Chantilly paper pack.  To make this I used the bar image from Family Love stamp set then the words are from the February stamp of the month and the bar image again on the bottom of the card.  I used Versamark Clear ink and White Embossing powder.  Heat set it with my heat gun and then added some color around the lettering with watercolor pencils.  Finally I added some smearing with the white daisy pigment ink pad and a sponge.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the clubs and workshops this month!

Love is in the Air

Hi Stampers
I forgot to post this earlier, so I'm doing it now.  Here is the Valentine's Day card that I made for my Hubby.  I used a card I found on Pinterest as a template for my card.  I just love all the ideas out there.  Here is my card:
I used the Whoo's your valentine stamp set for everything on this card except the swirl.  That is from on of my all time favorite sets Love Life.  I use it all the time.  I used a black cardbase and rounded the two corners.  Then I added the white cardstock on top with the stamped swirl and hearts at the top and the zigzag pattern at the bottom using Ruby ink.  I had to use a strip of the new sparkle paper in black.  I used an scallop edge punch along the bottom.  Then the hearts are popped up using 3-D foam tape.
Hope that everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Loving the home decor ideas

Lately I have been really into making home decor items, and it just so happens that over on the Heart 2 Heart Blog they are asking for posts of your home decor ideas.  I made this LOVE picture frame for Valentine's Day.

I found a picture frame at our local Goodwill store (I swear that I had one like this at one point, maybe I just bought back my own frame) and knew that I needed to make it into a LOVE frame.  I used the "For Always" paper pack X7165B $9.95 from the new Spring Idea book for the paper.  I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the letters using Ruby Cardstock.  Then I stamped them with the swirl design from "Love Life" set.  I added some Lagoon cardstock behind the letters so it shows through the cut-out circles.  I mounted it under the glass, then on top of the glass I added grey sparkles on the cut out circles and three Ruby colored roses, Black swirls and the two love birds out of Lagoon paper all cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  I added some black pearls to the center of the roses and the birds eyes and some black tulle ribbon to hang it ontop of the mirror that I have over our fireplace.  I'm really pleased with how it came out!  It is so fun to decorate the house with homemade items.

Glitter Valentine's Day Card

The challenge this week at Heart 2 Heart blog is to share a project that you have made using glitter.  It can be any kind of glitter and any kind of project.

I'm sharing the card that we made this month in my workshops and clubs.  I used a strip of the new CTMH glitter paper in black, a black glitter button, and three bitty sparkles on the black heart to make this pretty Valentine's Day card.

Here is the inside of the card:
I also used the January Stamp of the month "Valentine's Day" for the roses on the background and the sentiment on the inside of the card.  The Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge was used to cut out the three hearts.  I also added some Black Tulle Ribbon cut in half to the front of the card.  The black glitter paper is really more sparkly than it is showing in this photo.
