February Workshop Cards

Hi Stampers
Here are the two cards that we will be completing this month at my clubs and workshops.
The first card is a "Center Step Card" decorated for Easter.

I used the new stamp "Easter Wishes" from the new Spring/Summer idea book for the adorable chicks.  The paper we are using this month is Chantilly also from the new idea book.  I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the fancy square and the pink tag.  Just my luck Heart 2 Heart Challenge this week is Tag Your It.  So I will be adding this card to that blog.  Go check out other cute tag ideas HERE.  I found the center step directions by on google.  There are a lot of templates out there for this type of card.  The one I used is http://www.th-ink-ingofyou.blogspot.com

The second card we will be making is this "Chalkboard" style card using the February Stamp of the Month Home Sweet Home.

Once again we are using the Chantilly paper pack.  To make this I used the bar image from Family Love stamp set then the words are from the February stamp of the month and the bar image again on the bottom of the card.  I used Versamark Clear ink and White Embossing powder.  Heat set it with my heat gun and then added some color around the lettering with watercolor pencils.  Finally I added some smearing with the white daisy pigment ink pad and a sponge.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the clubs and workshops this month!

Both of your cards are really beautiful. I love how you paired Chantilly with the chalkboard look...I wouldn't think to do that and I love it. And those chicks are just so darn cute :)
