Be Yourself Card
Here is the card that we made during my monthly stamp club last night. It uses the Embossing Resist technique.
Supplies:
D1349 Be Yourself stamp set
Versamark Ink
Hollyhock Ink
Blush Ink
Black Ink
Rubber Brayer
Directions:
Start with a white 5 ½” x 4 ¼” card base.
Glue the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Black cardstock to front of card base - centered.
On the 3 ¾” x 5” piece of white card stock - stamp small flower using Hollyhock ink 2 – 3 times see sample. Stamp center of flower using Hollyhock ink.
Take dryer sheet and rub all over cardstock to get static off.
Stamp the large flower using versamark ink. Use Clear Embossing powder to cover flower and use the Heat Gun to set.
Use the sponge distressing tool to apply hollyhock ink all over the large flower using a circular motion, until you see the image clearly. Sponge Hollyhock ink on the bottom edge of cardstock as desired.
Use a make-up sponge to remove the excess ink from the large flower image.
Place a sheet of regular computer paper over the image and heat with your Iron at the highest temperature without using steam. Rub in a circular motion until all of the embossing powder is melted off.
Load the girl image stamp with Versamark ink and black ink. Stamp on top of cardstock in desired position. See sample.
Apply Clear embossing powder to girl image and use heat gun to set.
Use scissors or edge distressing tool around stamped cardstock. Glue to card front centering over the black cardstock.
Stamp sentiment on white cardstock using black ink. Place rhinestone frame over the top, centering image. Cut cardstock around frame. Use pop dots to adhere to card front.
Stamp Sentiment on the inside of the card as desired.
