This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is.....you guessed it Halloween.
Now if you don't celebrate Halloween, that's ok! You can also create your artwork featuring a pumpkin (or 2) and that qualifies too. Just be sure to use CTMH products!

I have several items to post. The first is the project that my Stamp Clubs are making this month. It is a witch's hat candy holder. It is very simple to create. I saw the idea online and tweeked it a little. Basically I used the large scallop punch (2 1/2") for the hat brim. Used a piece of Red Lines tape to glue a small Peanut Butter Cup candy to the center. Then I used a little less than half of a 3 1/2" circle of paper from our Hooligan's Paper pack to make the cone shaped hat piece. Used Red Lines tape again to adhere it to the candy. Then I just stamp the image from Unity stamp set on Sunset cardstock using Sunset Ink. Then stamped "Spellbound" using black ink in the center from the stamp set Spellbound. Then stamped a couple of small bats from the same stamp set. I added liquid glass to the bats to make them shiny. Cut it out and then used a 3-d foam square to attach to the front of the hat. And there you go...
Here is a side view:
The next item I wanted to share is something that I'm still kind of working on to get it just right. It is a cute Pumpkin, similar to others that I have seen around. It a little different because it is built more like a basket. It has candy inside too. Stay tuned for more information on how to create this cute Fall Decoration once I have it to where I want it I will post directions.
And Finally, I wanted to show you a card I made a couple of years back. It uses the "Soot Stamping" technique. Soot stamping is fun, but can be a fire hazard, so be very careful. Basically you hold a piece of glossy cardstock over a candle flame until it looks all smokey and then you stamp your image in Clear Versamark ink and then on to your soot covered paper. The Versamark pulls off the smoke stain showing the image. I then sealed it with a spray of matt craft sealant. Unfortunately this stamp set has been retired, but there are several others that can be used to create this same idea.

Embossing Challenge at Heart 2 Heart
This weeks challenge is Embossing. You can use either dry embossing or wet embossing or a combination of both if you choose.
I decided to use wet embossing. I stamped the Tree image from October's stamp of the month "Share the Magic" set using versamark ink, then I sprinkled embossing powder (I believe it is called Stardust. I have had it so long I no longer have the tag for it.) over the top and heated it with my heat gun. I took a sponge and some Juniper ink and sponged it all over the tree until it started to pop. Then I added some Blush ink around the edges using a sponge.
The paper pack I used is last year's Holiday paper called "Jingle". I added a bit of white organza ribbon and a couple of knotted ties and there you have it. Oh, don't forget the Clear Sparkle at the top of the tree.
It's a simple card but cute and sparkly.
