To Do List Note Pad

This cute skinny note pad is a To Do List with a matching pen.  I made one as a prize for my Stamp Club Ladies.  I hope that the winners enjoy using these as much as I enjoyed making them.  They would be great for stocking stuffers at Chirstmas time or would be fun to put in an Easter Basket.  I used a Junior Legal pad and had the office supply store cut it in half for me.  I used Daydream paper from CTMH and True Friends stamp set from CTMH for the frame on the front.

Here is the inside.  It has a velcro tab closure that keeps the front shut and a pocket on the left side for business cards or receipts.

Quilted Cross Card

Here is the card that we made at my Stamp Clubs this month.  Thank you to Sharon Chatterton for teaching me this folded paper technique at our CTMH unit meeting in Hillsboro, OR.  I changed the pattern a little so that it looks like a cross and used my oval Coluzzle for the cut out frame instead of the circle.  I used the CTMH Caboodle paper pack and the Easter Wishes is from the Springtime Stamp set.

Here are the instructions and the pattern I used.
Supplies:

4 ¼” x 5 ½” standard card base in Vanilla Cream
4” x 5 ¼” Crystal Blue cardstock with oval cut out 3 1/4" x 4 1/4"
4” x 5 ¼” Vanilla Cream cardstock with oval cut out at 3" x 4"
For #1 - (2) 2” x 1” pieces of B&T
For #1 - (2) 3” x 1 ½” pieces of same B&T
For #2 - (2) 2” x 1” pieces of B&T
For #2 - (2) 3” x 1 ½” pieces of same B&T
For #3 - (2) 2” x 1” pieces of B&T
For #3 - (2) 3” x 1 ½” pieces of same B&T
For #4 thru #6 – (9) 2” x 1” pieces of B&T

Directions:

1. Tape pattern down to solid work surface with Painters Tape.

2. Tape Vanilla Cream cardstock so cross is lined up straight through the oval cut out. Use Painters tape to secure the four edges. We will be working from the back of the project.

3. Fold all of your cut strips of B&T into triangles, by folding the two edges down so the tip of triangle is in the center of paper.  Don't worry about the bottom edge matching up, but make sure the triangle tip is together.

4. Use regular scotch tape and start taping down your triangles making sure your tape does not show through to front. The seam side should be up so you can see it. Start with #1 and work your way around clockwise. For this project we will keep #7 empty.

5. Carefully peel off the painter tape and turn your project over.

6. Sponge the inside and outside edges of the crystal blue cardstock with the oval cut out.

7. Stamp your sentiment “Happy Easter” along the lower right of the crystal blue CS using Grey Wool Ink.

8. Trim approx. ¼” around the edges of the Vanilla Crème cardstock to remove any pieces that hang over the edge.

9. Glue the crystal blue CS on top of the quilted piece lining up the ovals.

10. Glue to card base.

When you print out this pattern the size should be 3 1/8" wide by 4" tall

Top O' the Morning St. Patty's Day Card

Hi All!

I'm not much Irish, 1/8th to be exact, but this little leprechaun is so cute I had to make a card with him.  My kids like to celebrate all the holidays and I have been informed that it is way past time to start decorating for St. Patrick's Day.  This helps get me in the spirit.

I used CTMH Animal Cookies paper turning the stripe over to the green side. The card pattern is from the Wishes Book and is called "Lucky Layers".  I just love the How To books by CTMH, they make stamping so easy.  Sorry about the shadows on the card, it is actually sunny here in Oregon today!
