Heart 2 Heart Challenge

Oh my - it is Monday already!  That means that it is time for the Heart 2 Heart Challenge.  So this week, we are including fancy folds on our cards and other projects. If you Google stamping and fancy folds (that is what I did to come up with the inspiration for my fancy fold), you will get some great ideas or better yet, take a look at what the Design Team came up with - loads of inspiration for you!  Just Click Here to get to the Heart 2 Heart Challenges blog spot.

Here is my creation.  I used the new Magnifique paper pack X7127B coming out in just a couple of days.  I also used the "A Sip" stamp set A1109 and the "Unity" stamp set C1422 for the inside sentiment.
Here is the outside of the card.  It measures 5"x5"

Un-tie the ribbon closure and the triangle opens to the left like a regular card.  This is what you see:

Then this part of the card opens with the fold on the top to reveal the tea bag inside.  I need to really find some different color tea bags though, but this will give you the idea.

Happy Stamping and be sure to post on the site so I can see what you have come up with!

Heart2Heart Weekly Challenge

This week's challenge is all about STITCHING! This can be real stitching or faux stitching, hand stitching or pen drawn stitching - whatever you would like as long as we can see signs of stitching on your artwork (and of course, you use mostly CTMH products!)  Click Here to see the wide variety of samples made by the Desgin Team.

I will post my creation here when it is complete.  Right now I'm going downstairs to dust off my sewing machine.....

Here is my creation:  I used Bella paper pack with the colors Smokey Plum, Creme Brulee, and Olive.  I used the CTMH stamp set called D1410 One of a Kind for the flowers and D1347 Confidential for the tab.  I added some sparkle rhinestones for an extra kick.  For the stitching I actually brought out my old sewing machine and did the zig zag around the smokey plum cardstock, then I did a straight stitch along the striped B and T paper (it's hard to see on the picture) and finally I used a straight stitch around the rectangle mat of the flowers.
Here is a close-up of the stitching:

Have fun stitching on your next project!

Back to School - Really?

What already?  I think I'm ready for school to start....{smiles}
The Heart2Heart Challenge this week is a back to school challenge.

Here's what's happening this week - we are creating Back To School projects! Cards, layouts, altered items - whatever makes you think of heading back to the classroom!

So Click Here to go to the Heart2Heart Challenges blog to see what the design team and other people have come up with.

I'm posting a Teacher Appreciation gift that I made back in May for one of our wonderful teachers at my kid's school.
It is a package that holds four 3"x3" cards with matching envelopes and three chocolate nuggets (because everyone can use a little chocoltate).  I used the Animal Cookies paper pack (the colors just remind me of school colors) and various stamp sets.  So fun to make.
Now let's see what wonderful ideas you have made.  Be sure to post on the Heart2heart blog.

Heart2Heart Challenge

Good Monday morning-
This weeks Heart 2 Heart challenge is "Tag Your It"  You guessed it, make something that is a tag or has a tag on it.  To see the design teams projects just Click here.  Today I made a standard sized card with a tag on the front.

I used the lovely Boom Di Ada papers and the August stamp of the month stamp set "Something Splendid".  Don't you just love the look of the large daisy.
Colors are Buttercup, Autumn Terracotta, and Hollyhock.  To make my tag I used my trusty old Coluzzle tag template.  Oh, how I wish that they would make these again.
Go ahead and spend some time creating today.  Tag your it!
